Shoreland Protection Act
Also a reminder that the Shoreland Protection Act was passed last year and has been effective as of July 1, 2014. If you have a project within 250′ of Lake Champlain or any other body of water greater than 10 Acres in size, these regulations may pertain to you. Any new development, redevelopment or clearing of a property may require a permit or registration. EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule for Lead Safety
Finally a reminder that the state of VT has adopted the EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule for Lead Safety. It has been effective since April 22, 2010. If your project involves a pre-1978 home or child-occupied facilities, you likely need a company that is certified and uses lead-safe work practices.
